We have a winner! After fours years of trying Barrett’s Bombers finally broke through to secure their first of victory. The final standings are as follows; First Place – Barrett’s Bombers 1248 points Second Place – Mac’s Whackers 1217 points Third Place – Burke’s Champs 1127 points Fourth Place – Warner’s Warriors 1091 points (defending champs) Welcome back golfers to another season of Golf at Falcon Ridge and Raceview. We are planning our General Meeting at the Falconridge Golf Course Clubhouse on Monday April 16th at 7 pm. All last years members, previous members and prospective members are urged to attend. Please bring out a friend as well! We are planning to start the league on Monday, April 23rd. We will be using the same format as last year but are always looking for new ideas. Come on out and share your ideas. Green Fees will remain at $18 per night and are payable in advance. ($18 x 16 weeks = $288) League Fees are $70 for the season and are payable in advance. This fee pays for league prizes plus our year end tournament and banquet. Total fees payable for the season are $358. ($288 GF + $70 LF) You have the option of paying in 2 x $179.00 instalments. The first instalment must be paid in full by the second night or you will not be eligible to play. The second instalment is payable no later than week # 8. The Dinner Buffet is $10 per week, payable each week prior to teeing off. If you are unable to golf on a given Monday, you must call the club at (613)822-6742 and let them know you won’t be staying for supper. Please plan on staying for dinner to socialize with league members. Falconridge Golf Club Members are exempt from paying green fees but must pay the $70 league fee. You may want to consider purchasing a restricted membership at $1000 + GST and not having to pay league green fees. http://www.falconridgegolf.ca/main.shtml?Memberships Guests and spares will pay $18.00 for green fees and are eligible for the weekly prizes. Power Carts are $12.00 each. A complementary large bucket of balls or free bucket of balls coupon will be given each night. There are weekly pro shop discounts available up to 20%. There are prizes given each week for longest drive and closest to the pin. You can win a prize for each one only once per season. We keep track of your scores on a weekly basis and award prizes to the top team at the end of the season. Last season we set up 5 teams with 9 golfers selected per team based on your handicap for new members and previous years scores for returning members. We will advise the date and cost of the closing tournament at a later date. It is usually held on a Saturday in mid to late September. We will have a 50/50 draw each week, the proceeds of which we will add to our tournament budget. If you can't golf on a given Monday, please arrange for a spare to come out. Your spare will pay you directly because you have already prepaid for the round. Please advise your spare to check in at the pro shop to pay for their dinner prior to teeing off. If they can't make dinner, the clubhouse must be advised (613)822-6742) by Monday at noon so they can budget the proper amount of food for the night. We will be starting our weekly group lessons on Thursday evenings starting in mid to late May at 6:30 pm. Starting date to be confirmed. Colin Orr from the OAC will be returning as our instructor again this year. The cost will be $10 per night which includes your bucket of balls.
