EEOT Rules 16-10-16

NOTES:

Note 16-10-16:
Black and White Players
The Rule states if a senior player (60+) is stripped of the puck, the stripper is required to make at least one pass before a goal is attempted. If this was not the case, then Mr. Cooper's goal is nullified.

This Rule complements Frank's case, stating if a senior manages to achieve a breakaway, then "just let him go!"

If you wish to challenge this ruling, the Commish -  circumstances permitting - will be present at the Prescott one day this coming week.

Lamont Dupont
Commissioner EEOT

Item 1
Year end celebration and dinner.

There was some concern expressed by a member that "some people" would have to work the next day if the dinner were held on the 12th. After a feasibility study,
It was decided that the best option would be to hold the Prescott part of the celebration (some free food and beer provided by the establishment) on Mar 29th.,Easter Thursday. The dinner will be held after the final game on April 12 following a regular post game meeting at the Prescott as the bulk of the attendees don't work the next day.

Item 2
EEOT Alumni Game

The idea of an alumni game for  retired players that would take place at 3pm. on April 12 was put forward. Current senior players that could make this time would be able to round out the roster. A number of senior players at the table expressed interest so it was decided to proceed with tentative plans and seek out other retired players.

Item 3
Player Safety

The Director of player safety, gave his report. A number of players have been issued warnings for what he described as "sloppy play" (I think that's what he said in French).

The icing rule was discussed and Gov. Etchells pointed out that all the EEOT rules are clearly stated on the website. It was agreed that the rule would be re-written to allow for more space for the defending team goalie and defence to play the puck when it crosses both blue lines and the end redline untouched.

Item 4 Future of EEOT

Some discussion took place around the future of EEOT hockey. One of the major problems is having enough full time players to sustain the two ice times. Gov. Etchells suggested using the app. 20Skaters to make sure  there are sufficient skaters for the games. Other ideas were tabled.

Recommendations will be passed on  to the owner.

The meeting was adjourned  at 9:30 after we had succeeded in clearing the restaurant of all other patrons.
