Hi Dave;
Just something I would like to share with you as well as other players who might have a similar problem with the sciatic nerve in the lower back area as well as groin issues.  As you well know I have been dealing with chronic pain in these areas for years and was looking through youtube one day and found the Pioformis stretch exercise, my back is now 1000% better , stronger , more flexible than before, so much so that I bought more workout equipment as I can handle heavier weights etc. etc.,  my skating has improved because I am no longer in constant pain with every push and stride that I am taking.
