| Now that all have had time to recover from the revelries of the Solstice, (or to regret their absence), it's time for the good news. The Jim "Big Fella" McColl 3rd Annual Memorial Golf Tournament looms happily on the not so distant horizon. The dates: Wednesday, Sept. 22nd and Thursday, Sept. 23rd. The venue: The Royal Papineau Golf Club, Notre Dame de la Salette, Quebec. (For those who have not been there, directions are in the Red Book, pg.156 or from any more knowledgeable Solstician). The Cost: 2 days of golf with a shared cart, a la carte dinner Wednesday night, overnight shared motel accommodation on site, breakfast Thursday morning, cash prizes and good times in memory of a fellow Solstician: $168.00, taxes and service included. For those feeling a little more frolicsome, there is an option. A game of golf at the world famous Buckingham Golf Club, (at your own cost!!!), on Tuesday the 21st, and then onto the RP for dinner, overnight and breakfast and into the tournament schedule. The cost of this package: $247.75( see below for recent changes) taxes and service included. I repeat, this does not include the cost of the game of golf at Buckingham. For those feeling frolicsome, but not recklessly so, there is a 3rd option. Play at Buckingham, at your cost, be silly for a few hours, (a world class putting green), then go home, sleep cheap, and head up to the RP Wednesday morning. We'll call these options 1, 2 and 3. Please tell me your preference when responding. Tee times: I am anticipating at least 20 people and have booked 10 rooms at the motel on site for Wednesday night. I'll book for Tuesday night as interest determines. First come, first served. I would appreciate responses of interest or not in one of the packages as promptly as possible. Payment in full must be made on or before Aug. 16th when there will be a meeting of like minds at Puzzles Fine Dining and Haberdashery at 7:00 post meridian. "Due to excessive whining and complaining about the minuscule cost of the Jim McColl Memorial, (which, come to think of it, he probably would have joined!!), I have confronted management at the RP and wangled a $20.00 reduction in both packages. So, to make it clear to the numerous mentally challenged Solsticians, the cost now is $148.38 all inclusive for 2 games, cart, dinner, and breakfast; and $227.75 for dinner Tuesday night, overnight and breakfast Wednesday morning and then the above. Is this clear or need I speak to each of you personally? (Jason, I'm thinking of you!!). I am away until the 15th of August. I am now shooting for 24 golfers. People I've never met are calling to get on the A-list!!!! Indicate your interest and commitment to this great deal and remember, you too may be memorialized one day!!! Don't be a cunctator !!!!
