Twilight Whackers Tournament 2005 | |
It's pouring rain outside and I'm delighted that we had such a brilliant day for our tournament yesterday!! We couldn't have asked for a better day! We must be living right! Thanks to our members and guests who participated yesterday to help make the tournament such a great success! The tournament winners were Dale Austin, Joey Barrett, Tony Mitchelson and Mike Pion at -6. The most honest golfers were Francois Belanger, Simon Worswick, Harley Melnick and Chris Favilla at +8. Second place was at -5 (Etchells, Richardson, Stappert, Weeks) and two groups were tied at -3 (Bekkers, Bueti, Hodgins, Elford) & (Desjardins, Hawco, Jessome, Frigault). Congratulations to you all! Closest to the pin on #9 was Dave Bekkers and Art Richardson on #14. Longest drives went to Mike Weeks on #8 and Francis Hawco on #17. Congratulations! The regular season winning team was Team # 3 the Sandbaggers with 799 points. How appropriate! Second place went to Barrett's Bomers with 755 points followed by Pion's Pirates with 752 points. The most honest golfers were Team #4 - Warner's Warrior's with 736 points. The player of the year honour went to Joey Barrett who accumulated 205 points (average of 12.8 points per round), didn't miss a game and also served on the executive as statistician and director. Congratulations Joey on your amazing year! The most honest golfer of the year award went to Rick Stappert who averaged 2.72 points per round. A true gentleman!
